Jason
Fisher began writing CONVERSATION FOR A DOLLAR as a senior
in college. Immediately after graduation Jay set to work on the production
of the film. In order to amass the film's budget he alternated months
of 65 hour work weeks with days of production. It took him one year
to produce the film.
CONVERSATION FOR A DOLLAR
opened to a full house at the historic Brattle Theater in Cambridge,
Massachusetts on July 20, 2000. Since then the film has appeared at
marquee screenings in art house theaters, universities, and film festivals
across the country and abroad, including venues in Atlanta, Boston,
Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Sacramento, Albuquerque, New
York, Los Angeles, London, Vancouver, and Mexico City.
